Healthy Child Programme Practitioner School Nursing Leicester City | MondayFriday (no bank holidays)

Exciting opportunities have arisen to join our Healthy Together Teams within School Nursing, supporting children and young people aged 5-19 and their families.

You will need: A relevant qualification Experience working with children, young people, and families A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle with business insurance LPT offers car leasing and salary sacrifice schemes (eligibility criteria apply), and existing NHS leases may be transferable.

Main duties of the job The Healthy Child Programme Practitioner (HCPP) will undertake health promotion activities including supportive behaviour management delegated by the Public Health Nurse.

The post holder will be responsible for planning, delivering and evaluating a range of public health activities and packages of care on a 1:1 basis or in groups for example;

Defined packages of care for sleep, behaviour

Review assessments for children with self-harm and emotional health issues where risk is assessed to be acceptable by PHN

Sexual health assessment and follow up

Healthy Bladder/Bowel workshop delivery

Healthy Bladder/Bowel Reviews

Delivery of parent/carer public health information sessions

Promotion of nutrition and healthy weight and obesity prevention in group setting or 121 follow up advice

Support National Childhood Measurement Programme (NCMP)
