About this role

Job summary

We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated, forward thinking, pharmacy technician with excellent interpersonal skills looking to develop their career across primary care and community hospitals.

A patient centred evidence-based medicines approach to medicines management is required in the role. You will be working collaboratively with health and social care teams across the locality to improve patient outcomes related to medicines use and ensuring patient safety.

Main duties of the job

You will be based in the central area Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board, supported by our established and highly valued team of pharmacy technicians and pharmacists.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Person Specification

Qualifications and/or Knowledge Essential

Registration with General Pharmaceutical Council. NVQ Level 3 in pharmacy services with BTEC National Certificate in Pharmacy Services or equivalent

Desirable

Accredited Medicines Management Pharmacy Technician Qualification or is willing to undertake this qualification European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL)

Experience Essential

Working within a multidisciplinary team

Desirable

Experience of working in a primary care pharmacy team Previous medicines management experience Audit experience

Aptitude and Abilities Essential

Good interpersonal skills Ability to maintain confidentiality Ability to adapt to change and work alone and as part of a team

Desirable

Welsh speaker

Values Essential

Motivated, reliable, methodical Able to work on own initiative and as part of a team

Understanding and responsive to patient needs.
