Location: Hybrid working (primarily home-based with office base in Truro)
Hours: 1 day per week (7.5 hours)
Contract: 12 month fixed term
This is a new role, providing Clinical expertise to support the development and delivery of at scale Community Pharmacy commissioned programmes. The post holder will work as part of the Integrated Primary Care Services & Cornwall Training Hub team providing high-quality, clinical expertise to a range of projects and services to support Community Pharmacy across Cornwall.
Main duties of the job
Cornwall Training Hub has previously focussed on working with General Practice, but we are expanding our portfolio to work with wider Primary Care. You will work as the Community Pharmacy Clinical Lead across Cornwall and be the clinical voice for the programme, at system and regional meetings as required. You will support clinical safety and assurance activities and provide clinical oversight of the programmes being delivered. This will include elements of national and local contracts together with development of appropriate career frameworks, supervision and networks.
You will be working with a friendly, fun, and lively team that likes to innovative and respond to meet the needs of those we support. You will work closely with a Programme lead who will drive the operational delivery. You will regularly be innovating, creating and driving projects from scratch and creating the blueprint as you go.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide expert clinical oversight and guidance to projects and clinical services as required.Support the development and delivery of high-quality, evidence-based clinical services.Liaise with Community Pharmacists and other key stakeholders to ensure projects meet clinical requirements and patient needs.Offer Clinical expertise to ensure appropriate clinical governance of pharmacy services.Work with system partners, including the LPC to develop projects to support the roll out of Community Pharmacy services.To build relationships with key stakeholders across Primary Care to improve the interface and integration between Community Pharmacy, General Practice and the wider Neighbourhood teams.Advise and support on training, supervision, career pathways and continuous professional development of pharmacy teams, ensuring delivery of consistent high-quality care.Promote adherence to national guidelines, safety standards and regulatory requirements.Chair or attend local or regional clinical meetings as required to provide specialist advice or community pharmacy representation.Provide advice on improving the uptake of clinical services and promote best practice in medicines optimisation and patient safety.Support adhoc events to support the wider Training Hub team such as career fairs where appropriate.

Person Specification
Experience Essential
Proven track record of planning, coordinating and supporting programmes Previous experience of working in Community Pharmacy Knowledge of NHS Commissiong and pharmacy contractual frameworks
Desirable
Knowledge of Pharmacy Integration fund or GP Access Recovery plan
Qualifications Essential
Masters degree in Pharmacy (4 years) Minimum 2 years post registration training working as a Clinical Pharmacist with experience of the challenges working in the sector Evidence of postgraduate qualification and continuing professional development Registration with the GhPC Independent Prescriber
