We have an exciting opportunity for aGeneral Practitionerto join our Healthcareteam at HMP Drake Hall, a women's closed prison located in Eccleshall, Stafford. Within this role you will be working closely with a full multidisciplinary team including an ACP and NMP to deliver high quality healthcare services.
Ideal applicants for this role will have a special interest in female health,and have experience with LARC insertion and removal. This year the site hopes to open a healthcare hub focusing on female specific health needs such as pregnancy, menopause and sexual health, the GP within this role will be actively involved within healthcare services in the hub.
Hours
Monday 8am-4.30pm
Wednesday8am-4.30pm
Friday8am-4.30pm
This position ispart time role working 24 hours per week
Salary
You'll receive an annual salary between£119,140 to £122,886per annum FTE - depending on experience.

Main duties of the job
Our General Practitioners are extremely valued and are well respected members of the Prison Healthcare community, as a General Practitioner, your responsibilities will vary. You will
Deliver first class healthcare to a diverse group of patients, and therefore as a General Practitioner at Practice Plus Group you get the opportunity to further develop your knowledge in areas you wouldn't usually experience within a practice, or even A&E environment. Provide clinical assessment and diagnosis to patients requirements and make timely decisions regarding future management. Provide a highly specialist resource to other members of the healthcare team at site, as well as the patients you work with having active involvement in clinical governance and effectiveness activities. Requirements
MBChB or MBBS Inclusion on the GMC Register and GP Performers List Evidence of engagement with annual appraisal Experience working as a General Practitioner in community general practice Evidence of continuing professional development Ability to work with patients with a history of substance misuse RCGP Certificate in Substance Misuse 1 and 2, or prepared to undertake these qualifications Secure environments are one of the most challenging, yet rewarding places for healthcare professionals to work.
