Base salary £24,853 - £25,491 per annum full time
(plus allowance for unsocial hours)
St Oswalds Hospice are looking for a caring and dedicated Care Support Worker to join their team. You will work under the guidance of a Registered Nurse to deliver care and provide a range of activities to meet the assessed needs of the Children & Young Adults who access our service and to support their families with that care. If you are passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of Children and Young Adults with life-limiting illnesses then we would love to hear from you!

Main duties of the job
You will:
have a minimum of 2 years experience working with children/young adults with complex health needs in an education, health or social care setting. effective communication skills and an ability to record information accurately & concisely. have flexibility to cover a range of shifts over a 24 hour / 7 day rota.
NHS pension may be transferable.

This role involves direct contact with vulnerable adults, children, or other at-risk individuals. You will be expected to safeguard and promote the welfare of each child, young person and young adult, maintain an awareness of safeguarding issues and an understanding of standard reporting procedures.
