Main duties of the job At Avery Healthcare, the focus is on supporting the people who care for the residents, offering a supportive environment that encourages growth and development. As a Senior Care Assistant, you will make a positive impact on residents' lives daily, providing high standards of personal care and a safe, supportive environment. Key responsibilities include monitoring residents' wellbeing, being involved in care planning, supporting medication requirements, and supervising staff to support their development. You must embody the values of caring, supportive, honest, respectful, and accountable in everything you do. The role requires an NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes, at least 2 years of experience in a similar care environment, effective communication skills, and a positive attitude towards supportive and nurturing environments. Flexibility in covering various responsibilities is also essential. ABOUT THE ROLE
Your focus as a Senior Care Assistant will be tosupportand work alongside the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care, providing a safe, caring, innovative, open,supportive, andinclusiveenvironment for residents, visitors and staff.
Other responsibilitieswillinclude:
Monitoringthe wellbeing of each resident, being aware of any changeimpactingon care and care plans, ensuring that new needs aremet,and written records are amended to reflect any variation. Beinginvolved in the person-centred care planning process, by implementing,monitoring,and undertaking monthly evaluations. Supporting residents with their medication requirements. Undertaking staff supervisions and supporting staff with their development where required. Actingas a key point for contact with residents, theirrelativesand visitors, as well as health and social care professionals involved in their wellbeing, ensuring that any reasonable requests are actedupon,and concerns or complaints are escalated.
