This is an exciting opportunity to join our Ophthalmology service as a Band 3 Administrator, playing a key role in supporting the delivery of high-quality patient care across the wider team. You will be part of a busy, supportive and collaborative service, contributing to the smooth running of administrative processes that underpin clinical activity and patient pathways.

As an Ophthalmology Administrator, you will provide comprehensive administrative support to the service, ensuring efficient coordination of patient pathways and day-to-day activities. You will work as part of the wider Ophthalmology team, supporting clinical services across the department as required.

Key responsibilities include clinic coordination and booking, validation of waiting lists, and supporting the effective management of patient appointments. You will have regular contact with patients, carers and staff via telephone and email, delivering a professional and patient-centred service at all times.

The role involves the daily use of multiple IT systems, including Epic and Microsoft Office, to maintain accurate records, support reporting, and assist with service monitoring. You will work closely with colleagues and senior staff to identify and escalate any capacity or operational issues, ensuring timely resolution and continuity of care.

This is a varied role where you will need to prioritise your workload effectively, use your initiative, and adapt to the changing needs of the service. You may also be required to provide cross-cover for colleagues and support other administrative functions as needed.

Working Pattern: 4 working days per a week (08:00 - 16:00 or 09:00 - 1700). Hours to be discussed at interview.
