Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen with Chelmer Medical Partnership for an experienced Medical Secretary for either part-time or full-time hours.
Main duties of the job
The role is responsible for providing essential secretarial duties within our busy GP practice, dealing with telephone and email enquiries, managing referrals to secondary care, audio typing of GP correspondence using a digital dictation system, liaising with patients about their care and assisting GPs with negotiating care pathways.

Chelmer Medical Partnership is a three-site practice based in Chelmsford formed from Humber Road Surgery, Melbourne House Surgery, and Tennyson House Surgery.

The successful applicant will have previous NHS Secretarial experience, be an excellent communication, IT skills, have the ability to work under pressure and be flexible to be able to work extra hours to support colleagues sickness and holiday absence.
