Are you a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) experienced in working in mental health, seeking a new challenge?

We are looking for someone with previous Band 7 experience to take on a clinical leadership role in a friendly, supportive and dedicated service. If so, an opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and dynamic Clinical Team Lead to join the North Bucks Older Adult Mental Health Team (CMHT) in Aylesbury.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified and ambitious individual with experience in mental health community to continue developing your clinicaland leadership skills whilst continuing to undertake varied and more complex clinical work.

This is a senior role within a multidisciplinary team that consists of both highly experienced and newly qualified professionals, all committed to delivering high-quality care to individuals experiencing mental health challenges in our local community.

You should be a qualified RMN with experience working in community mental health who is looking for the next step in their career! You will be required to work at the base Monday - Friday 9-5pm.

The ability to travel independently between sites within the Trust is essential for this role.

Main duties of the job

As Clinical Team Lead for the North Bucks Older Adult CMHT (Aylesbury), you will work alongside the Deputy Team Managers to support the Consultant Psychiatrists (Clinical Lead)andTeam Manager (Operational Lead),to provide clinical and leadership support to the wider team.

Responsibilities will include:

Act as a clinical expert taking a lead role in advancing the development of clinical practice, providing evidence based holistic patient care within a variety of settings, inclusive of the patient's residence and care settings within the community, from undertaking highly complex assessment of presenting condition through to diagnosis, treatment, and discharge, including the administration of medication within agreed clinical guidelines and protocols Manage a small number of complex patients Providingday-to-day clinical supervision to staff and supporting the ongoing development and performance management of the team A lead role in the day-to-day support of the Duty team, Triage and assessment functions, working as part of a MDT to ensure timely triage, assessment, planning and implementation of intervention specific to the needs of individual or groups of patients and their carers

Undertakingclinical duties, including , conducting assessments, risk assessing. Liaison with other services and stakeholders as required Complete clinical audits and completion of action plans following the audits. support student nurses .

Knowldege and requirements Essential

Extensive knowledge of older adult mental health, dementia, risk assessment, safeguarding and community-based multidisciplinary working. Evidence of up-to-date knowledge of older adult mental health practice, dementia care and relevant legislation. Demonstrates a strong understanding of person-centred, evidence-based and carer-inclusive care. Ability to demonstrate knowledge of assessment and management of complex presentations, including comorbidity, frailty and cognitive impairment. Registered Mental Health Nurse, Sound understanding of legal and professional responsibilities, including Mental Capacity Act and safeguarding duties. Knowledge and understanding of Community Mental Health Framework

Desirable

Relevant supervision, teaching or leadership qualification/training. Post-registration study or specialist training relevant to older adult mental health, dementia care or leadership. Additional training in digital systems, audit or service improvement.

Knowledge Essential

Evidence of up-to-date knowledge of older adult mental health practice, dementia care and relevant legislation.
