Job summary
NHS Supply Chainare seeking an enthusiastic and forward-thinking Clinical Fellow with a strong interest in cancer care and service transformation to join our team. This role focuses on analysing and improving cancer pathways from diagnosis through to treatment, with particular attention to how emerging service modelssuch as Community Diagnostic Centres (CDCs)will shape future delivery.
Working in collaboration with our Commercial clinical colleagues, you will bean integral part of theclinical pathway design, product evaluation, and strategic development, contributing to the creation of a core cancer pathway product offering and supporting the development of category strategies thatmayinclude medical devices.
Your work will help drive improvements in the quality of cancer care, ensuring pathways are efficient, evidence-based, and supported by the right products and technologies.
Main duties of the job
As a Clinical Fellow in Cancer Care Pathways & Products Strategy, you will play a key role in shaping and improving cancer services by analysing and optimising end-to-end patient pathways, from referral through to treatment. You will identify opportunities to enhance efficiency, standardisation, and patient outcomes, while evaluating the impact of initiatives such as Community Diagnostic Centres to support earlier diagnosis and smoother pathway flow.
You will assess medical technologies and devices, ensuring alignment with clinical best practice, innovation, and national product specifications, and contribute to the development of core product offerings and category strategies that deliver consistent, high-quality care and value for money. Working closely with clinical, procurement, and policy stakeholders, you will translate complex insights into clear, actionable recommendations, helping to drive service redesign and strengthen cancer care delivery across the system.

Person Specification
Qualifications Essential
Degree (or equivalent) with clinical experience inoncology, cancer care, or a related specialty.
Experience Essential
Strong understanding of cancer pathways, diagnostics, and treatment models. Ability to critically analyse clinical pathways and identify improvement opportunities. Experience or knowledge of Community Diagnostic Centres (CDCs)or similar models. Strong analytical and communication skills.
