About this role

Job summary

An Exciting opportunity has arisen for a Patient Records Data Quality & Scanning Officer to Support the Patient Records service to organise the day-to-day operations of the DHR and/or paper so that they provide a high quality, efficient and effective service that supports patient care, investigation and merging duplicate registration, prepare paper records for scanning.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be expected to work flexible hours on a planned basis, to ensure that support is provided for staff working out of core hours who require support with the DHR.

Ensure policies and procedures are followed in compliance with Information Governance (IG) and the Patient Records Management Procedure, meeting set objectives to provide a high quality, efficient and effective service. Following organisational core values and behaviours, departmental policies and objectives to provide a high quality, efficient and effective service adhering to minimum standards and KSF outlines.

Person Specification

Qualifications and Knowledge Essential

NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification/experience Ability to use own initiative, organise workloads and delegate duties Knowledge of principles of confidentiality

Desirable

Evidence of continual professional development Knowledge of NHS Records Management legislation

Experience Essential

Experience of working with Microsoft packages Experience of leading and negotiating a team
