Overview
We are seeking a motivated and patient-focused qualified Dispenser to join our friendly and supportive team at Spilsby Surgery. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the safe, accurate and efficient dispensing of medications to our patients, whilst delivering a high standard of customer service and patient care.
Applicants must hold a minimum Level 2 qualification in Dispensing or Pharmacy Services (or an equivalent recognised qualification) and have a good understanding of dispensing processes and medicines management.
Main duties of the job
Responsibilities
Accurately prepare, label and dispense prescribed medications in line with practice procedures and legal requirements.Provide a professional and friendly service to patients, ensuring confidentiality at all times.Maintain accurate dispensing records and support the safe management of medicines.Assist with stock control, ordering and monitoring of medication supplies.Liaise with GPs and other members of the practice team to resolve prescription queries.Help maintain a clean, organised and compliant dispensary environment.Requirements
Minimum Level 2 qualification in Dispensing, Pharmacy Services or equivalent.Previous experience working in a dispensing practice, pharmacy or healthcare setting.Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to patient safety.Strong organisational and time management skills.Good communication and interpersonal skills, with a professional and compassionate approach to patient care.Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to professional standards.
