About this role

Job summary

The post holder will provide comprehensive support within the School Nursing Service. This will include creating and maintaining databases, inputting onto clinical systems, providing support to the team including filing and taking telephone messages and working to agreed policies, protocols, and standards. The role may also include supporting within a clinic setting.

Whilst successful applicants will primarily work within one team, applicants may be required to work at other locations to ensure equitable service delivery.

Core service delivery is currently Monday to Friday 09:00 to 17:00.

No weekends or Bank Holidays

Main duties of the job

Provide Support to the School Nursing Service Work to support the health and wellbeing of children ( age 5-19) Contribute to locality teams performance and data capture Support the team using IT and administrative skills Clinic Support as needed Liaise with other agencies/ schools, parents and allied professionals

Person Specification

Qualifications Essential

Level 1 Literacy and Numeracy (GCSE English and Maths Grade D-G or equivalent)

Desirable

ECDL or equivalent

Knowledge, Training & Experience Essential

Good telephone manner

Desirable

Knowledge of School Health Experience of working in a team Experience of working across sites within the community

Skills and Abilities Essential

Highly competent IT skills Strong data analysis skills Ability to work effectively without direct supervision Ability to produce work of a high standard to tight deadlines Able to communicate with a wide range of people, including senior clinicians, managers, clients and people from other organisations Ability to generate ideas and put them into practice Ability to travel to different geographical locations across the Trust footprint in line with service needs
