An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Fellow to join the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust Dermatology Department. An ideal role for someone interested in a career in dermatology, this is an exciting opportunity to learn within one of the largest dermatology departments in London, with an established reputation for dermatology training.
The Dermatology Department consists of comprehensive general and specialist outpatient clinics, including consultants with highly specialised interests, and acts as a tertiary referral center for eczema, connective tissue disorders and psoriasis, as well as having an active clinical trials unit. The department also runs a comprehensive skin cancer service with a full range of treatment options including Mohs surgery. There is additionally some inpatient capacity that provides care for the local population in North and North Central London.
The successful applicant will be involved in all aspects of the diagnosis and treatment of dermatological conditions in outpatient and inpatient settings, and will be expected to treat patients on behalf of and under the direction of the Consultants.
This is a full-time fixed term role which is based at Barnet General and Chase Farm Hospital sites.

Main duties of the job
This is a full-time (40 hours per week) post based at the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust Dermatology Department. The Dermatology Department at Barnet and Chase Farm Hospital busy and dynamic, both units provide care both for the local population in North Central London and to a much larger network around North London, and the Home Counties.
As dermatology clinical fellow you will be expected to look after patients with skin disease in both the inpatient and outpatient setting. You will work with a team of trainees and consultants.
Applicants should hold MRCP or equivalent and should be registered with the GMC.
The RFL is a large specialist skin cancer unit and tertiary referral center, able to provide specialist treatment for skin cancers which include the following:
o Patients with melanoma - wide local excision and sentinel lymph node biopsy, and further management with targeted and immunotherapies for patients with advanced disease.
o Patients with non-melanoma skin cancer requiring Mohs micrographic surgery as well as immunotherapy/systemic treatment
o Weekly joint multidisciplinary decision to treat skin cancer clinic alongside clinical oncology and plastic surgery
o Tertiary referral clinic for the management of cutaneous lymphoma
