Main duties of the job Join Avery Healthcare as an Activities Driver at Guildford House Care Home in Surrey, where you'll provide transportation for residents, ensuring safety and quality service. Responsibilities include providing transportation services, assisting residents during transit, focusing on driving while delegating tasks to onboard support staff, and offering pickup and delivery services. Candidates should embody values like caring, support, honesty, respect, and accountability. A PCV license with Cat D1, a clean driving record, periodic CPC training, safety knowledge, and calmness in emergencies are essential. A DBS Check and proof of UK work eligibility are required.

If this sounds like the place for you, wed love to hear from you!ABOUT THE ROLEYour focus as Activities Driver will be providing safe, timely and courteous transportation for residents to and from various activities while providing quality service.Other responsibilities will include: Providing transportation services for residents. Assisting residents with any special needs during transportation, such as carrying packages, opening doors, assisting residents onto and out of the vehicle, and assisting residents to the point of destination required. Always focusing on driving; directs tasks and passenger interactions to onboard support staff while the vehicle is in motion. Providing miscellaneous pickup and delivery services as needed.ABOUT YOUTo be successful in your application, you must live our values of caring, support, honesty, respect, and accountability in everything you do.Our ideal candidate must: Have a PCV license with Cat D1 and an acceptable driving record. Attend periodic Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) training as required. Be knowledgeable of all safety precautions and comply with safety procedures. Qualifications Essential

PCV license with Cat D1, acceptable driving record, periodic Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) training, safety knowledge, ability to react calmly in emergencies
