We are seeking a compassionate, hardworking, and motivated Healthcare Assistant (Band 3) to join our District Nursing Night Service Team in the South East Essex area.

This community-based role provides care during night hours, operating from 21:00 to 08:00, seven days a week, including weekends and bank holidays, with a variety of shift patterns available.
The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality, patient-centred care within the community. Responsibilities include triaging calls and referrals, providing responsive unplanned care, and supporting patients in their own homes. The role requires close collaboration with Out of Hours services, multidisciplinary teams, patients, and their families.
Strong communication and IT skills are essential, alongside the ability to work independently and respond effectively to changing patient needs in a fast-paced environment.

Person Specification
Education/Qualifications Essential
Full UK driving licence and access to a car for work purposes. Evidence of a good level of education
Desirable
Willingness to undertake further qualification/education/training Completion of the Care Certificate, demonstrating competence in delivering safe and effective patient care.
Skills/Experience Essential
Demonstrates ability to plan and prioritise workload.
Desirable
Hospital or previous community experience Previous use of SystmOne
Personal Qualities Essential
Good oral communication skills, with a high level of fluency in the English language.
