Job summary
We are looking for a dynamic individual with excellent communication, organisational & secretarial skills to support the administration function for the Physical Health Team in Community Mental Health Services. Predominantly working remotely to cover all localities based in Coventry & Warwickshire, with some office based work required.
Main duties of the job
This is a unique administrative role supporting the Physical Health Team in delivering assessments and interventions for patients on the Severe Mental Illness (SMI) register. The post holder will produce accurate letters and reports, communicate directly with patients to arrange or amend appointments, and provide a professional, empathetic, and confidential response to telephone enquiries.
The successful candidate will deliver a comprehensive administrative and secretarial service, supporting clinicians and managers with clinic management activities. We are seeking an individual with a positive attitude towards change, a commitment to service improvement, and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team to meet the complex needs of patients.
Applicants should be educated to GCSE level and hold an NVQ/QCF in Administration or have equivalent experience. Excellent IT skills are essential, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, email systems, electronic patient record (EPR) systems, and Excel. Data collection and reporting are key aspects of the role, supporting the monitoring of performance indicators. Previous experience in a healthcare setting is desirable.
