Job summary
An opportunity has arisen within the Bowel Cancer Screening Team for a permanent AFC Band 2 Administration Assistant working 37.5 hours per week.
The BCSP Administration Assistant will be required to facilitate and support the day to day administrative functions of the Bolton Bowel Cancer Screening Team, ensuring a qualitative and responsive service is maintained to support the effectiveness of the overall programme.
Previous experience of LE2.2 or similar NHS patient information systems, Somerset Cancer Registry and Endobase Endoscopy system would be advantageous but not essential as training will be given.
The successful will be required to attend a minimum of 2 day course for bowel cancer screening database training.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will work as a member of the Bowel Cancer Screening clerical team, and responsibilities will include:
Key duties include:
Receiving patient telephone enquiries Updating patient systems Maintenance of computerised medical records, referrals and waiting list entries General office duties, to include filing, photocopying etc. Retrieval and dispatch of patient case notes, and tracking to appropriate user. Supporting the whole screening team as required
