They specialize in grid-tied, hybrid, and off-grid solar systems, catering to residential, commercial, and industrial clients. To date, they have installed over 10MWp of solar panels and more than 3 megawatt-hours of lithium-ion battery storage, serving over 350 customers. Their largest installation is over 400kWp, showcasing their expertise in delivering high-quality, efficient, and sustainable energy solutions.
Overall purpose and responsibilities of the role:
The Head of Accounting is responsible for leading and managing the company’s accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial records, timely reporting, compliance with accounting standards and Philippine tax regulations, and strong internal controls. This role supervises the accounting team and works closely with management and the CFO/Finance Head.

Accounting Operations
Oversee all accounting functions, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, and Fixed AssetsEnsure accurate and timely month-end and year-end closingReview and approve journal entries, schedules, and account reconciliations Financial Reporting
Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statementsEnsure accuracy of Balance Sheet, Income Statement, and Cash FlowSupport budgeting, forecasting, and management reportingTax & Regulatory Compliance
Ensure full compliance with BIR requirements (VAT, Withholding Taxes, Income Tax, Alphalist, etc.)Prepare and review tax filings and statutory reportsHandle coordination with external auditors, tax consultants, and government agenciesManage audits and address audit findingsInternal Controls & Process Improvement
Develop and implement accounting policies and proceduresStrengthen internal controls and ensure proper documentationIdentify process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracyTeam Leadership
Supervise, train, and evaluate accounting staffReview team output and ensure deadlines are metProvide guidance and technical support to the teamManagement Support

Must-have Skills / Qualifications:
Required
Bachelor’s degree in accountancyMinimum 5–7 years of accounting experience At least 2–3 years in a supervisory or managerial role Strong knowledge of financial reporting, taxation, and complianceExperience handling audits and BIR transactionsComplete familiarity of all the on-going installations and upcoming installationsAccurate forecast of A/R based on installation milestones and completionsTotal knowledge of which POs are imperative to meet the needs of upcoming installationsManage cash-flow to ensure ability to pay and prioritise critical PosKnowledge of delivery schedules, importation procedures, agent contact details, etc.Ability to identify and resolve long standing accounting issues in the booksPreferred
