About this role
Content Development Manager About Springboard
Springboard combines world-class online learning with high-touch human support — including dedicated mentors, career coaches, and student advisors — to help people change or advance their careers. From our AI and tech upskilling programs to our growing suite of Allied Health certification programs, we build learning experiences that help people change their lives.
About the Role
We're looking for a seasoned Content Development Manager to join our Learning Experience (LX) team. In this role, you'll own the end-to-end creation of high-quality instructional content across our programs — ranging from AI and tech courses to healthcare certification programs — helping adult learners successfully change or uplevel their careers.
Our ideal candidate is comfortable operating at both 30,000 feet and 3 feet: someone who can flex between being in the details while building towards the bigger picture. You might be asked to conceptualize and build a new course end-to-end to drive ambitious learner outcomes, build relationships and work with SME/instructors to shape their presentational content week-over-week, or dive into the details to do a careful proofreading pass of written content. Our ideal candidate possesses a “learning producer” mindset: you understand how content presented live should support and connect to content consumed asynchronously, and the strengths of different formats and modalities.
We’re looking for someone who brings an eye to detail, obsession with high-quality content and learning experiences, and creative range to everything they build.
What You'll Do
Own the full lifecycle of course content development across multiple modalities. We’re looking for someone who has a wide range of content development experience across written learning materials, instructional video, live sessions (eg., webinars), audio content, and beyond. Act as a “Learning Producer” for new courses – developing a vision for both synchronous and asynchronous learning components of courses – and executing on that vision. Write, edit, and proofread instructional content to a high standard of clarity, accuracy, and learner-friendliness, leveraging AI tools. Build relationships and collaborate closely with subject matter experts, instructors, and presenters to refine, elevate and gamify lectures and presentations. Leverage AI tools to accelerate and enhance content development workflows. Partner cross-functionally with project managers, the LX team, client-facing teams, and other internal stakeholders to ensure content meets business objectives and launch timelines. Maintain and continuously improve content quality standards across the team.
What You Bring
8–10 years of experience in learning design, content development, and/or course development. Demonstrated end-to-end ownership of course creation — from concept through final production. Content development experience across modalities: written content, video production, live/webinar facilitation, learning games, audio/podcast production, etc. Exceptional writing, proofreading, and editing skills. You are the colleague people send drafts to because you have an impeccable editing eye. Proven ability to work with SMEs and instructors to sharpen and refine their material – and translate it into course elements. An outcomes focus: experience designing and building learning experiences attached to ambitious KPIs. Ability to independently manage your own project timelines. Demonstrated experience using AI tools to support content development. A portfolio or examples of work you've built and are proud of. Experience developing AI, tech, or data courses OR background in healthcare or Allied Health instructional content. People management experience is not required, but is a bonus.
Why Springboard
Why this moment, why Springboard?
If you want to own something and help build something that matters, this is it. Our courses serve real, tangible needs of individuals and employers: people are looking to change or uplevel their careers to improve their lives, and employers have talent shortages that aren’t simply a trend, but a genuine crisis. This is the problem we exist to solve. If you want to move away from building products that are "nice-to-have" and start developing mission-critical solutions that fundamentally change how people upskill, reskill, and get hired, let’s talk.
