We're seeking a compassionate and motivated Recovery Support Worker to join our team at HMP Rye Hill, working 35 hours per week to support individuals affected by drug and alcohol misuse on their journey towards recovery and successful reintegration into the community.
Working within an integrated healthcare team, you'll deliver person-centred interventions that promote recovery, reduce harm, and empower lasting change.
What You'll Be Doing
Managing a caseload of clients throughout their recovery journeyCompleting assessments, risk assessments, care plans and reviewsDelivering structured 1:1 interventions and group sessionsProviding harm reduction advice and recovery-focused supportSupporting service users with release planning and through-care arrangementsWorking closely with healthcare, probation, housing, employment and community partnersMaintaining accurate case records and meeting service KPIsContributing to a safe, high-quality and outcome-focused service What We're Looking For
Experience supporting individuals with substance misuse, recovery or complex needsStrong communication and relationship-building skillsAbility to manage a varied caseload and prioritise effectivelyA proactive, flexible and solution-focused approachConfidence working as part of a multi-disciplinary teamGood IT and record-keeping skills This is an opportunity to be part of a service that changes lives every day. All prison-based roles are subject to enhanced DBS checks and HMPPS security vetting. These checks can take up to 5 months to complete. Any offer of employment will be conditional upon the successful completion of both checks.
