Job SummaryAbout the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the Marketing Office on Moody AFB. Guaranteed 0 hours but may work up to 40 hours per week. May be required to work days, nights, weekends and holidays.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Must have experience in graphic design and experience working with layout and photo editing programs. Hands-on experience on inhouse creation of literature, advertising, posters, brochures, newspaper print, mass newsletter creation, PowerPoint presentations and web. Expected to be versatile and proficient in a wide variety of software applications, including Microsoft Office and Adobe Design Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, In Design and Adobe Acrobat). A Bachelor's in Fine Arts Design or related field is desirable, but not required. Experience with digital photography and videography is desirable. Experience working with commercial printers is desirable. Knowledge of proper grammar, spelling, punctuation and proofreading skills are required. Must be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment that is deadline oriented. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:
Major DutiesWorks under the guidance and direction of the Marketing Director. Works with marketing team, key squadron and Air Force personnel in the design and creation of high-quality marketing materials such as charts, graphs, posters, flyers, brochures, calendars, logos, T-shirts, books, newsletters, and PowerPoint presentations. Must be able to produce materials from concept to delivery. Use a variety of computer software such as Adobe Design Suite and Microsoft Office to create and design materials for advertising and marketing via print, electronic and online media. Functions as a design, layout and editorial specialist. Writes and promotes articles about Force Support programs and events. Assists with maintenance of the brand. Manage appropriate vendor relationships including, but not limited to, publication, photographer, printing and literature distribution. Maintain current and historical files on all marketing and advertising literature, graphics, advertisements and images. Produce all levels of graphic materials for use by FSS facilities including maintenance and use of Services, FSS and USAF logos. Stays current on industry trends and all applicable technologies.
