Job Description
Responsible to: Technician Manager
Overall Purpose
You will be responsible for the day-to-day running of specialist media facilities, including 2 multicamera TV studios and 3 radio studios. You will be an experienced technician preferably with experience of the HE sector, with proven experience in a TV or Radio broadcasting environment as well as location shooting skills. You will be familiar with Adobe Creative Suite including After Effects, Audition and Premiere Pro. Knowledge of Indesign, Word Press and other digital software is desirable. Some degree of flexibility in terms of working hours is required.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Maintain a general overview of health and safety and ensure the use of safe working practices, including conducting risk assessments and safety Mentor and assist other technicians as required.
Occasional Duties
Set up exhibitions/performances and end of year shows where applicable, which may require some unsociable hours. Run Masterclasses and work with programme teams on School liaison and outreach programmes out of term time
