Job summary
Practice Nurse Part Time (2025 hours per week)
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Practice Nurse to join our friendly and supportive nursing team within our busy GP practice. This is a 12-month maternity leave cover position, with the potential to become a permanent role for the right candidate.
This is an excellent opportunity for a nurse who enjoys working as part of a close-knit team and has a keen interest in managing long-term conditions, particularly diabetes.

Is a Registered Nurse (NMC) Has previous experience working in general practice Has experience or a strong interest in diabetes care and other long-term conditions Works well independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team Is friendly, reliable, and patient-focused Working Hours & Salary

Main duties of the job
The Role
The successful candidate will be involved in a range of routine and specialist nursing duties, including:
Management of long-term conditions, especially diabetes Chronic disease reviews Health promotion and disease prevention Cervical screening and routine immunisations (depending on experience) Supporting patients to manage their health proactively
