We have an exciting opportunity for a Night Nurse to join our Primary Care team at HMP Altcourse a category B Prison located in Fazakerley, Liverpool
HMP Altcourse is the busiest remand prison in the country, so there's lots going on in this exciting, varied role, where you will gain valuable experience, and no 2 days are ever the same!
The Night Nurse will be based in the healthcare department and will be assisting with emergency response and being part of the Primary Care Team You will work day shifts for the first three months as part of your induction before moving to your permanent night-shift rota. As a night nurse, you will also be required to complete one week of day shifts every three months for ongoing professional development and support Hours:
Monday - Sunday 7.45pm - 7.15am - Nights Only 7 nights on - 7 nights on Salary
This position is full time, youll receive an annual salary up to £34,428 - £41,658 per annum FTE depending on experience.

Main duties of the job As a Night Nurse, your responsibilities will vary. You will
Within a multi-disciplinary team to deliver a nurse led service and prevent hospital admissions. Undertake medication rounds, dispense controlled medication, attend emergency response situations, assess patients, and undertake reception screening. Use your skills and knowledge to deliver nurse led clinics to your patient group whilst being supported by a multi-disciplinary team. Contribute to our nursing strategy and vision to; Provide outstanding evidence based care to our patients, seeking out, listening to and acting on their feedback, so that care is personalised and informed by what matters to them. Registered nurse Adult Current professional qualification (NMC) Evidence of Continued Professional Development Understanding of the complexities of multi-disciplinary and multi-agency working A non-judgmental and compassionate approach Understanding of clinical governance, health and safety, QOF, EBP and national standards Although not essential ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community or prison environment.
