Stirchley Medical Practice has a vacancy for an enthusiastic Human Resources Advisor to join our large clinical team consisting of GP's, nursing and HCA staff and a large administrative team, that works across two sites.
Main duties of the job
Working alongside the Practice Manager, the HR Advisor will be responsible for overseeing all human resources functions ensuring the recruitment, development, engagement, and retention of clinical and non-clinical staff
This role supports the delivery of high-quality patient care whilst maintaining an effective workforce, ensuring compliance with employment legislation and healthcare regulations.

Job description Job responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
Manage recruitment and onboarding of clinical and administrative staff. Coordinate pre-employment checks, including references, right-to-work verification, and professional registrations. Provide advice and guidance to managers and employees on HR policies and procedures. Manage employee relations matters, including grievances, disciplinary actions, absence management, and conflict resolution. Support managers in addressing performance concerns and implementing development plans. Foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture. Coordinate performance reviews and appraisal processes. Promote employee engagement and retention initiatives. Identify training needs and coordinate staff development programs. Ensure mandatory healthcare training is completed and recorded. Support career progression and succession planning initiatives. Compliance and Governance
Ensure compliance with employment legislation, healthcare regulations, and practice policies. Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation, Monitoring staff professional registrations, certifications, and training requirements.

Experience of working within a large team.

Knowledge and Skills Essential
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills. Excellent communication and conflict-resolution abilities. Knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and employment legislation. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information. Strong organisational and administrative skills.
