Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Service Manager for the Audiology services.
The Service Manager will provide day-to-day operational and strategic support to the Audiology service, ensuring high-quality, safe and efficient delivery across all sites.
The post-holder will lead service improvement programmes, pathway redesign, performance recovery, and quality assurance initiatives, ensuring the service meets national standards, including NHSE Audiology guidance, BSA standards, and local Trust objectives
Main duties of the job
The role will also lead key transformation programmes such as waiting list recovery, validation, ABR recall programmes, clinic efficiency, and digital optimisation.
The post-holder will work closely with:
Head of Audiology and Clinical Lead
Audiologists, Assistant Practitioners, and Administrative Teams
ENT Consultants and Paediatricians
Performance, BI and RTT/DM01 teams
HR, Recruitment and Workforce teams
Estates, IT and Digital Transformation
Complaints, PALS and Patient Experience

Education, Qualification & Training Essential
Education and training to degree level or equivalent
Experience Essential
Recognised leadership and/or management qualification or equivalent
Special Circumstances Essential
Willing and able to travel between sites and elsewhere, as required by the post
Skills, Abilities & Knowledge Essential
Experience of service management, including a track record of: Contributing to improvements in service standards and patient experience Monitoring compliance with local and national performance and quality targets In depth knowledge of diagnostic targets and DMO1 reporting Experience of managing a team cross site for both admin and support staff Knowledge and experience of validation processes Suggesting innovative and lasting solutions to problems and difficulties Ability to analyse and interpret complex and varied information in order to identify issues and solutions to Ability to write management reports and on key performance and service issues Ability to demonstrate behaviours and attitudes consistent with Trust values and service standards
Desirable
Experience of budget and resource management Experience of working with patients and the public to develop and improve services
