Job summary
The opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and experienced Radiographer to join our friendly and caring team in the CT and MRI Department.
We are a busy and continually expanding Cross Sectional Imaging department currently comprising two 'Philips Ingenia' 1.5T MRI scanners, a Toshiba (Canon) 'Aquilion Prime' CT scanner, and a Canon 'Aquilion Prime SP' CT scanner, as well as the recent addition of a new Canon 'Aquilion lightening' CT Scanner in a relocatable POD. We have also recently introduced an in house cardiac MRI service using a Siemens Avantofit 1.5T in a relocatable POD.
We offer a wide range of services including Oncology, Neurology, Vascular and MSK imaging, as well a Breast MRI, Cardiac CT and Cardiac MRI.
A flexible approach to 12 hour shifts, and out of hours on-call is required.

Kettering offers great access to all the beautiful Northamptonshire countryside. It has excellent road and rail network links to and from London, the East Midlands and Birmingham and the hospital is just off the A14 giving easy access to the M1 and A1.
Main duties of the job
To work a rotation through the MRI and CT departments conducting examinations using a range of equipment upon various patient types both as an autonomous practitioner and as part of a multi professional team, in a manner that meets professional, departmental and legal standards within the department.

Education, Training & Qualifications Essential
BSc Radiography or equivalent Registered with HCPC CPD portfolio
Desirable
Post graduate certificate in CT/MRI
Knowledge & Experience Essential
Experience in all aspects of general Radiography Interpretation of clinical history when working to guidelines Dealing with ill/injured/anxious/distressed patients Prioritising work on clinical grounds Experience in cardiac CT or cardiac MRI
