Main duties of the job The role of a Food and Beverage Assistant at Avery Healthcare involves supporting the dining service and assisting residents with their meals. Responsibilities include helping residents choose their meal options, setting dining tables according to standard procedures, maintaining cleanliness and presentation of the dining area, and ensuring availability of fresh homemade cakes, biscuits, finger food, and fresh fruit. Candidates should demonstrate high standards of personal hygiene, compassion, and commitment to resident care, with experience in a similar setting being desirable. A basic Food Hygiene Certificate is beneficial. This role requires a DBS Disclosure check and proof of eligibility to work in the UK.

ABOUT THE ROLE
Your focus as a Food and Beverage Team Member will be to support with the dining service and assisting residents with their meals.
Other responsibilities will include:
Supporting the residents with choosing their meal options at the time of dining. Ensuring that dining tables are set in accordance with the standard operating procedures. Keeping front of house clean, tidy and well-presented, and that dirty crockery is removed and replenished throughout the day. Ensuring fresh homemade cakes/biscuits are accessible in the bistro areas are replenished throughout the day as well as finger food and fresh fruit options. Being aware of residents dietary requirements.
