Job summary
The Zero hour Pharmacist role is to support the delivery of Community Assessment Days under the WorkWell programme. TyneHealth has been contracted to deliver Community Assessment Days for people with MSK problems who are struggling to stay in work or wanting to get back into work but limited by their health problems. The Pharmacist would provide support on the days giving advice on medicating pain, when best to go to the GP and other support

To deliver high-quality clinical advice to our patients, supporting the federations commitment to delivering safe, innovative, community-based healthcare closer to patients homes.
The Pharmacist role will provide medication support for patients experiencing MSK problems that are impacting their ability to work. This advice will sit alongside other services including physio advice, social prescribing and citizen's advice to provide holistic support for the patient. The service focuses on early intervention and supports self-management, reducing reliance on primary and secondary care whilst promoting holistic lifestyle changes and making every contact count.
The Community Assessment Days are being held in community venues twice a month across the North Tyneside, ensuring a wide geographical spread to improve access for residents. Service users will be able to choose a venue that is best accessible for them.
