Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Administrator to join the CQC-rated 'Good' Community Mental Health Team at Kent and Medway Adolescent Hospital.
Kent and Medway Adolescent Hospital (KMAH) is a 14 bedded young person unit, offering care for adolescents between the ages of 13-18. The successful postholder will be a welcoming staff member greeting, young people, family members and other professionals.
The post is integral to the team, and you will be required to provide comprehensive administrative support to members of the team, including Psychiatry, Psychology and Nursing professionals.
Main duties of the job
This varied role will include:
Having contact with patients, carers, relatives and other external stakeholders Typing letters and reports via BigHand (audio) and or copy typing Minuting meetings Using the patient record system RiO (training provided) Taking phone calls and managing the admin mailbox Booking and supporting clinic appointments Some analytical work in supporting the team to achieve their KPIs and Trust targets. Ordering of stationery and other items as required via SBS (training provided). It is important that the successful applicant exhibits empathy and compassion, has a professional and flexible attitude, likes being part of a team, has good communication and interpersonal skills, is able to prioritise workloads and can work to agreed timescales.

Job description Job responsibilities
Ideally educated to GCSE standard, with A to C in Maths and English (or equivalent) you will also have knowledge of MS Office applications i.e. Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint. Previous administrative experience, including minute-taking is essential, together with excellent typing skills and telephone manner.
