Job summary
We welcome applications from Nurses, Pharmacists and Paramedics with 3 years post registration experience.
We are looking for dedicated Nurses, Pharmacists, Paramedics, and Clinical Practitioner Prescribers to join our team. In this role, you will deliver a comprehensive telephone triage service within the Clinical Assessment Service [CAS], providing patients with appropriate information, advice, or direct referrals to the most suitable care pathways.
Hours for this vacancy are flexible and available Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays.
This is a fixed-term position for 12 months.
Main duties of the job
In this fast-paced role, you will utilise your clinical assessment skills to conduct telephone triage and provide accurate, timely advice to patients across a diverse range of cases.
Please note, this is an on-site role. We do not offer remote or hybrid options.

Job description Job responsibilities
Triage patients via telephone, evaluate and prioritise patient symptoms and provide home care advice. Signpost patients to appropriate services and give reassurance in line with the Government Standards for Better Health, up to date NICE Guidelines, Organisation Policies and Professional Body Codes of Conduct.
Ensuring that triage is a continuous process and all categories are checked on a regular basis, to ensure that the priority remains correct.
To refer to professional texts and training references online and through the Adastra system, when implementing triage.
To maintain clear, concise and accurate documentation within the systems provided.

Experience Essential
3 years post registration experience experience of working in a widely diverse patient catchment area Experience of Primary Care/A&E/ Unscheduled care.

Knowledge and Skills Essential
Knowledge of the NMC / HCPC / GPhC Code of Conduct Knowledge of the services provided in primary care Understanding of confidentiality regulations and protocols Understanding of Health and Safety regulations Good communication and interpersonal skills Strong commitment to excellent service provision Enthusiasm and self motivation Flexible approach to working hours

Qualifications Essential
Qualified nurse, paramedic or pharmacist. Statutory Professional Registration with the NMC, HCPC, or GPhC
