The MSK Physiotherapy Service at West London NHS Trust is dedicated to helping patients manage pain, improve mobility, prevent re-injury, and promote overall health and wellbeing. In this role, you will support the smooth day-to-day running of the administrative service, working closely with colleagues to ensure tasks are organised and completed efficiently within agreed timescales.
You will work alongside the wider administrative and clinical team to provide a high standard of customer service and help manage referrals, appointments, and electronic systems such as SystmOne (S1), ERS, and Accurx.
The post holder will work under the guidance of Operational Support and Systems Administrator. Following established procedures and Trust policies, you will help ensure tasks are completed on time and contribute to maintaining an effective and well-organised service.
Main duties of the job
To support the administrative and clinical teams in the efficient day-to-day running of the MSK Physiotherapy service, helping to ensure services are delivered effectively and on time.
To provide a comprehensive administrative support service, including managing referrals, booking appointments, and maintaining accurate patient records using the electronic patient database.
To communicate professionally with patients, carers, and staff across primary care, secondary care, community services, social care, and voluntary organisations, always ensuring a high standard of customer service.
To work within standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Trust policies, using initiative to complete tasks and support the team in meeting agreed timescales.
To assist with organising and prioritising administrative tasks within the team to ensure work is completed efficiently.
To support new starters with local induction processes and day-to-day guidance as required.
To contribute to team working by acting as a positive and supportive member of the administrative team and always maintaining a professional approach.
To assist with service improvements and take part in team meetings or projects where appropriate.
