We have a fantastic opportunity for a Healthcare Support Worker to join the team at HMP Wymott, a Category C male prison located in Leyland. HMP Wymott has capacity of around 1,200, and has a varied and complex population.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join the team, and ensure that care is delivered overnight as and when required. You will mainly be responding to emergencies, so a knowledge of bloods, obs, NEWS2 etc is required. Hours: This is a full time role, working night shifts. Shifts are 20:45 - 07:45 on a 2 week rota: Week 1 - 4 nights Week 2 - 3 nights Salary: This position is full time , youll receive an annual salary of £25,557 - £29,723 per annum. Main duties of the job

As our new Healthcare Assistant, your responsibilities will vary. Some of your duties will include:

Act as backup emergency response, working alongside nurses overnight Ensure continuity of care for all patients, and deliver outstanding care at all times Carry out bloods, observations, ECGs etc as needed Deliver personalised, non judgemental care, based on patient feedback If you are interested in career development, we have a wide range of opportunities for you to develop your skills and experience, which include both internal and external options for development and learning.

Our new Healthcare Assistant will: Hold a NVQ Level 2 / 3 qualification in Health & Social Care, or equivalent Have experience within a healthcare setting - hospital, community or secure setting Have clinical experience, such as bloods, observations, ECGs etc Any experience in primary care or inpatients would be a bonus!
