An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic doctor to join the current Obstetrics and Gynaecology team as a senior clinical fellow at Barts Health NHS Trust.

This post at Whipps Cross University Hospital, Barts's Health NHS Trust, is a unique and excellent opportunity for an experienced Obstetrics and Gynaecology Registrar (ST6-7 level or equivalent). The role is designed for a senior-level registrar who wishes to further consolidate advanced clinical, surgical, and leadership skills, with support towards the CESR/Portfolio pathway where appropriate. The department has a proven track record of supporting locally employed registrars through CESR/ Portfolio pathway, where the successful candidates have secured consultant posts.
Main duties of the job
This post at Whipps Cross University Hospital, Barts's Health NHS Trust, is a unique and excellent opportunity for an experienced Obstetrics and Gynaecology Registrar (ST6-7 level or equivalent). The role is designed for a senior-level registrar who wishes to further consolidate advanced clinical, surgical, and leadership skills, with support towards the CESR/Portfolio pathway where appropriate. The department has a proven track record of supporting locally employed registrars through CESR/ Portfolio pathway, where the successful candidates have secured consultant posts.
The successful applicant will work closely with their education supervisor with support from College Tutor to ensure that they progress in their training in line with the expectations for doctors in training as set out by the RCOG (Royal College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology).
We initially offer a 1-year fixed term contract. Following this period, your contract will be subject to an extension based on the achievement of specified criteria, including a successful Educational Supervisor and local faculty report evidencing completion of WBPAs and other requirements set out at the start of your year. If the review is successful, your contract will be extended for a further 12 months.
