Job summary
To assist with the provision of patient care within the urology at St Richards Chichester. This will be an outpatient service involving clinics, and outpatient procedures. To assist with the most effective use of resources and manpower. To participate in the planning and development of the service in accordance with the Trusts policies and procedures.

Main duties of the job
To assist with the daily running of Urology clinics in Outpatients. To set up and assist with the running of clinics. Ensuring patients are kept up to date with clinic delays.

The healthcare assistant will work within the Urology team. Experience is preferred for the the Health Care Assistant role. Relevant Urology experience is not required but a willingness to learnt he relevant skills to work within the urology outpatients setting. Demonstrating enthusiasm, commitment and a compassionate attitude towards the patients .
To be an effective member of a multi disciplinary team under the direction and supervision of a qualified nurse and to be continually aware of the need for confidentiality.

Person Specification
Experience/Qualifications Essential
NHS experience or NHS primary care experience is required or an internationally educated nurse/midwife/doctor who has worked in an acute hospital setting within recent years Care Certificate from an Ofqual regulated awarding organisation. OR international qualification e.g overseas nursing degree Ability to demonstrate knowledge and skills acquisition, working at a higher-level standard of care delivery, equivalent to vocational qualification level 3. This is evidenced via a portfolio of practice and/or a professional discussion.
