Ward B12 is a 36 bedded adult respiratory ward with a new respiratory hyper-acute area delivering care to acutely unwell patients, these include ITU step downs, chronic respiratory diseases, complex asthma, pneumonia, oxygen therapy, pulmonary TB. We deliver this care utilising state of the art equipment offering non-invasive ventilation, tracheostomy care, chest drain care, along with CPAP for Covid pneumonia. To support this we provide a comprehensive education programme for ward staff supported by the Respiratory Specialist Nurses.

Main duties of the job
Provide high-quality, compassionate care to patients.Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in line with professional guidelines. Administer medications, treatments, and interventions safely Monitor and record patient conditions and vital signs. Recognise changes in patient health and escalate concerns appropriately. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation Engage in continuous professional development Follow health and safety, infection control, and safeguarding policies.Report incidents, near-misses, or concerns in line with NHS procedures. Ensure care meets clinical governance and legal standards
