Main duties of the job The role of Activities Driver at Avery Healthcare involves providing safe, timely, and courteous transportation for residents to and from various activities. As an Activities Driver, the primary responsibility is to deliver quality service while transporting residents. Key tasks include providing transportation services for residents, assisting them with any special needs during transportation, such as carrying packages, opening doors, and assisting residents onto and out of the vehicle. Additionally, drivers must direct tasks and passenger interactions to onboard support staff while the vehicle is in motion and provide miscellaneous pickup and delivery services as needed. Candidates need to embody Avery Healthcare's values of caring, support, honesty, respect, and accountability. A PCV license with Cat D1 and an acceptable driving record is essential for this role. Also, periodic Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) training attendance is required, along with knowledge of safety precautions and compliance with safety procedures.

Qualifications Essential

Candidates must have a PCV license with Cat D1 and an acceptable driving record. Periodic Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) training is also required. Candidates should be knowledgeable of all safety precautions and be able to react calmly in emergencies and be considerate. The ability to live Avery's values of caring, support, honesty, respect, and accountability is essential.
