Job summary

We are looking for a Psychology Profession with a passion and drive for making a real difference in this NENC Regional System Workforce Lead Role.

We are recruiting a Regional System Psychological Professions Workforce Lead with funding currently secured until September 2028 (part time 4 sessions 15 hours a week) to work alongside the Chief Psychological Professions Officers/ Heads of Psychological Professions and the NENC ICB (Transformation Programme). The post will be hosted within TEWV as employer.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and senior clinician who has a passion to make a lasting difference across voluntary, care and health sectors as this time of significant change. We are looking for someone with the experience and expertise in clinical leadership with the knowledge and skills to challenge in an approachable and personable way.

We are looking for someone who can take a creative approach to considering potential areas for development of the Psychological Professions Workforce within the NENC region. The postholder will be pivotal to the provision and delivery of well led, high quality, safe and effective care for people who use and work work across the ICB system.

Main duties of the job

Working closely with the Head of Programme Transformation at the ICB and with Psychological Professions Leads across the region, and a wide range of stakeholders you will develop strategic influence for the Psychological Professions. There is a national drive to increase access to Psychological approaches to health and care and the successful candidate will be able to shape and build how this looks.

You must have the Right to Work in the UK in order to be successfully appointed to this role. Please note, due to the part time hours the starting salary for this role would not meet the required salary threshold for this post to be eligible for sponsorship under the Health and Care (Skilled Worker) visa. Qualifications Essential

For Applied Psychologists: o Post-graduate training (doctoral level equivalent) in clinical / counselling / forensic psychology (or its equivalent prior to 1996) as accredited by the BPS and HCPC registration as a Practitioner Psychologist Post-doctoral training in one or more additional specialised areas of psychological practice Trained in clinical supervision and the supervision of doctoral trainee psychologists Trained in coordinating complex packages of care and assessing and managing risk Evidence of continuing professional development For Psychological Therapists: o RMN/RNLD, AHP or Social work core qualification Masters Qualification AND Registration with a professional regulatory body (HCPC, GMC, NMC or Social Work England). (If a different regulatory body please seek advice from Head of Psychological Professions) AND For Psychological therapists: a qualification that provides eligibility for accreditation in one of the four Governed Psychological Therapies detailed in the table below* Evidence of continuing professional development

Experience Essential

Must have substantial experience of: o Working as a qualified highly specialist applied psychologist or psychological therapist within the designated service including a wide variety of client groups, across the whole life course and full range of clinical severity across the full range of care settings. Exercising full clinical responsibility for clients' psychological care as lead professional within a multidisciplinary team. Liaison and joint working with statutory, voluntary and private sector agencies Teaching, training, clinical supervision and field supervisor for doctoral theses. Undertaking and supervising research and service development projects Project management of quality and service improvement initiatives. Providing clinical and professional leadership to other qualified and non-qualified members of the psychological professions. Managing multi-agency service delivery models.

Knowledge Essential

Doctoral level knowledge of: Evidence- based practice relevant to the role Risk assessment and risk management Clinical governance Knowledge of legislation in relation to the client group and mental health and its implications for clinical practice. Audit and research methodology Social Inclusion agenda Highly developed knowledge of: - The care of difficult to treat groups e.g. dual diagnoses, additional disabilities or severely challenging behaviour. Quality Assurance and Governance agenda Models of management and leadership The Trust's Quality Improvement System
