We have an exciting opportunity for a Substance Misuse Recovery Worker to join the team at HMP Five Wells, category C men's prison located in Wellingborough.
Join the Recovery Team and empower those whom wish to make changes in their behaviour to promote health and well-being through recovery from drugs and alcohol. Hours: 37.5 hours per week Monday - Friday: core office hours 1 in 6 weekend required 30 hours per week Days to be discussed 1 in 6 weekends required Salary: This position is full or part time , youll receive an annual salary of up to £33,510 FTE per annum. - How will we support you? Main duties of the job
As our new Substance Misuse Recovery Worker, your responsibilities will vary. Some of your duties will include:
Delivering outstanding care to psychosocial patients, seeking out, listening to, and acting on their feedback - ensuring that their care is personalised and tailored to the individual Manage a caseload of patients with varying needs, including substance misuse, mental health, trauma etc Work on a 1-1 basis with patients, carrying out assessments Deliver group sessions on overdose awareness, harm reduction etc Providing a programme of psychosocial interventions and comprehensive assessments Provide information and advice on substance misuse, alcohol, smoking cession, blood borne viruses and safe sex practices If you are interested in career development, we have a wide range of opportunities for you to develop your skills and experience, which include both internal and external options for development and learning.

Our new Substance Misuse Recovery Worker will: Have experience within Substance misuse, ideally a prison / secure environment, and ideally within a Recovery Worker / Practitioner role Have experience of working within the substance misuse multi-disciplinary framework, which includes housing, social care, health care and mental health pathways Have a flexible approach, and excellent communication skills Have a non-judgemental and compassionate approach Secure environments are one of the most challenging, yet rewarding places for healthcare professionals to work.
