Job summary
Act as nurse in charge in rotation with other band 6s- leading by example, using best practice to support the Neuro IR service. The senior Neuro IR nurse will work with the Neuro IR Lead Nurse, Consultants Interventional Neuro Radiologists and Neuro Superintendent Radiographer to identify and deliver any training and development required that will enhance patient outcomes, safety, and quality of care. Deputise for the Neuroradiology lead nurse during periods of leave. This includesacting as a deputy clinical lead and an expert practitioner for the Neuro IR nursing team. For example, liaising, guiding and advising the multidisciplinary team and external agencies in the provision of optimum patient care.
This role is eligible for visa sponsorship under the UK Visas & Immigration (UKVI) Skilled Worker route however sponsorship can only be provided where applicants meet the specific requirements set by UKVI, including the relevant skill and salary thresholds (£25000), and any role-specific criteria.

Person Specification
Qualifications; Registration & Experience Essential
Registered Nurse - NMC Evidence of professional development since qualification Substantial post-registration experience
Desirable
Mentorship; Teaching or Assessing Courses Able to administer medication and hold a valid IV medication and cannulation certificate. Experience as a 'scrub' nurse BLS/ILS Trained
People Management and Skills Essential
Ability to participate and implement the development of nursing practice
Desirable
1:1 mentoring Previous experience in working with Radiology/Interventional Radiology
