Sconce Ward at Newark Hospital is looking for a dedicated and compassionate Clinical Support Worker to join our friendly and supportive team. Sconce Ward is a 32-bed inpatient ward, comprising six bays and six single rooms, offering a dynamic and rewarding environment where no two days are the same.

You will work closely with an experienced and collaborative Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT), playing a vital role in the delivery of high-quality sub-acute care and ongoing rehabilitation. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills, gain valuable experience, and contribute directly to improving patient outcomes.

Main duties of the job

As a Clinical Support Worker, you'll be a vital member of our dedicated team, contributing to our mission of providing exceptional patient care. Your responsibilities will include:

Assisting patients with their daily needs and activities, promoting comfort and dignity. Collaborating with nurses and medical staff to ensure seamless care delivery. Maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming ward environment. Providing compassionate support to patients and their families during challenging times.

Knowledge Essential

Must understand basic requirements for individualised personal care Recognise people's right to privacy and dignity, treating every person with respect

Qualifications Essential

Care Certificate GCSE Maths and English or equivalent Apprenticeship Level 3 in Care or equivalent vocational experience

Further Training Essential

Ability to attend 3 day clinical induction Committed to attending further training and development as identified

Experience Essential

Able to demonstrate clear and robust verbal and written English communication skills Experience of working as part of a team Previous care work experience Previous face-to-face customer care experience

Desirable

Previous experience in a hospital setting

Contractual Requirements Essential

Flexible approach Able to work flexibly on a varied shift pattern according to the roster including nights and weekends
