Job summary
The post holder will be practising as advanced practitioner within cardiac rehabilitation team . This will encompass the skillsof assessment, examination, diagnosis and treatment within an agreed scope of practice throughout cardiac rehabilitation and related services.
The post holder will aim to deliver excellent standard of care across the domains of, advanced Clinical practice including independent prescribing, Leadership and management, research and Education.
The post Holder will deliver cardiac rehabilitation to patients with a variety of cardiac conditions in various clinical and Gym based settings in line with the British association for cardiovascular prevention and rehabilitation.
Main duties of the job
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our experienced team in the delivery of Cardiac Rehabilitation. We are seeking a nurse who possess aextensive nursing background in Cardiology and who is a registered independent prescriber. The purpose of the role is to provide specialist Cardiac Rehabilitation knowledge, expertise and skills forpatients and their families that promotes recovery and self-management.
This requires you to work both autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team to ensure a safe and effective pathway for cardiac patients. you will be required to lead and supervise junior members of staff and provide sound evidenced based clinical decisions.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Qualification and/or knowledge Essential
NMC Registered Nurse. Educated to degree level with post-registration Masters level education in relevant area or willingness to work towards.
