Job summary
The Shrubberies Medical Practice Located in South Woodford, North East London is looking for a Salaried GP 4 - 6 sessions per week to join our team due to retirement. We are a friendly, focused on team working, training and continuously developing. There are 2 Partners, 2 Salaried GPs, pharmacist, nurse practitioner, physiotherapist, practice nurse and Phlebotomist. Full support from reception, administrative and management staff. List size 8,600 + and growing, GMS, Emis Web. Part of a PCN, working together with local practices to achieve better clinical care. We are committed to maintaining traditional general practice values while adapting positively to the evolving landscape of primary care.
Main duties of the job
Awareness of and compliance with all relevant practice policies/guidelines, e.g. prescribing, confidentiality, data protection, health and safety A commitment to life-long learning and audit to ensure evidence-based best practice Contributing to evaluation/audit and clinical standard setting within the organisation Contributing to the development of computer-based patient records Contributing to the summarising of patient records and read-coding patient data Attending training and events organised by the practice or other agencies, where appropriate. To maintain a good working relationship with staff, doctors and patients. Contribute to the effectiveness of the team by reflecting on own and team activities and make suggestions on ways to improve and enhance the performance of the team and service development

Person Specification
Qualifications Essential
GMC Registered MBBS or equivalent medical degree Inclusion on the Performers List Medical Indemnity Experience with British Health Care and Primary Care Systems Enhanced DBS Check. Willing to successfully complete appropriate training for appraisal and remain up to date with the developing GP Appraisal, relicensing and revalidation agenda. Ability to work in a highly confidential environment Willingness to undertake continuing professional development Excellent communication skills including verbal, written, face to face and active listening skills. Ability to work as part of a team Sensitive to patient issues
