Job summary

Fylde Coast Older Adult CMHT is an Older Adults Community Mental Health service based on Central Drive in Blackpool.

We are a 5 day a week service with operating hours from 9am to 5pm.

We are a multidisciplinary team, with close working links with other health departments, social services and voluntary agencies.

Our service users can present with both functional and organic mental health difficulties which are often combined with complex social care and physical health needs.

We are looking to recruit a Band 6 occupational therapist with experience and enthusiasm in working with older people, to join the friendly and supportive Community Mental Health team on the Fylde Coast.

Main duties of the job

The Band 6 occupational therapist will have the opportunity to consolidate their skills in mental health, and we want to recruit someone who is keen to develop the specialist skills needed in an older adult community mental health team.

There is an expectation that the successful applicant would have some supervision responsibilities to more junior team members.

This is a community-based post and, as such, the ability to travel across the Fylde Coast including rural areas and those difficult to access via public transport will be required.
