Job summary
Danescourt & Greenmount Surgery is looking to recruit one or two Salaried GPs to join our friendly, supportive and forward-thinking practice in Cardiff.
We are a well-established practice caring for approximately 12,000 patients across two sites. We are looking for GPs who want to work in a clinically engaged, well-organised team with a strong focus on sustainable general practice, excellent patient care and staff wellbeing.
We offer 15-minute routine appointments, minimal document management, in-house prescribing support and a realistic, team-based approach to workload.
This is an excellent opportunity for newly qualified or experienced GPs looking for a stable, friendly practice with clear systems, good peer support and the opportunity to develop clinical interests.
Main duties of the job
We are looking to appoint one or two Salaried GPs, with flexibility around the number of sessions and working pattern.
We are happy to discuss different working arrangements depending on the right candidate or candidates, including part-time roles and flexible session patterns.
The role will include:
15-minute routine appointments A mix of face-to-face and telephone appointments. Reviewing results and appropriate clinical correspondence Minimal document management, supported by clear administrative systems In-house prescribing support Working closely with our wider multidisciplinary team Supporting high-quality, safe and patient-centred care
We are keen to support individual interests and would welcome applicants with, or wishing to develop, areas such as womens health, minor surgery, joint injections, diabetes, care of older people, teaching, quality improvement or leadership.

As a Salaried GP, you will:
Provide comprehensive care to our diverse patient population Conduct face-to-face and telephone consultations, home visits, and manage clinical correspondence Prescribe safely in accordance with our practice formulary Maintain accurate and contemporaneous patient records
You will work collaboratively with the wider team and make professional, autonomous decisions in patient care.

MRCGP qualification or equivalent Experience with EMIS or other primary care IT systems Interest in clinical audit, service improvement or long-term condition management
