Main duties of the job As a bank Second Chef at Barchester Healthcare, you will have the opportunity to work with fresh seasonal food in a care home located in Croydon. You will assist the Head Chef in crafting nutritious and well-balanced menus, aiming to deliver restaurant-quality dishes while ensuring work-life balance with flexible hours. The role is temporary and part-time, offering hourly pay. Responsibilities include managing the kitchen in the Head Chef's absence, working with fresh produce, and maintaining high standards in menu development. You will be responsible for stock control, completing regular audits, and creating a welcoming atmosphere in the kitchen.
