Deliver safe, effective assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and management of patients working both independently and collaboratively. Primarily part of the urgent care team, ensuring timely access to high-quality care for patients presenting with acute needs.

Person Specification
Qualifications Essential
Essential Criteria Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC). Masters degree (required for ACP qualification post-December 2020, aligned with RCN Credentialing for Advanced Level Nursing Practice). Postgraduate diploma or degree (for ACP qualification up to December 2020). Qualified Independent Nurse Prescriber, registered with the NMC. Compliance with NMC revalidation requirements as outlined in the NMC Revalidation booklet. Technical & Administrative Competence Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. Familiarity with GP practice systems and prescribing data monitoring platforms. Ability to produce clear, comprehensive clinical documentation. Competence in developing, implementing, and reviewing care plans. Governance & Compliance Strong awareness of data protection regulations (GDPR). Commitment to maintaining confidentiality, particularly within a GP practice environment. Knowledge and Skills - Essential Clear understanding of NHS principles, values, and frameworks. Ability to analyse and interpret complex or incomplete information, anticipate issues, and recommend appropriate solutions. Strong interpersonal and organisational skills. Excellent communication abilities, including influencing, persuading, and constructively challenging information. Effective negotiation skills.
