An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the dynamic Obstetrics &Gynaecology team at Airedale General Hospital, a forward-thinkingTrust with ambitious plans for the future. We are particularly keen toattract a candidate with a special interest in uro-gynaecology, offering afantastic opportunity to further develop and shape this service within asupportive and progressive department.
Main duties of the job
Work with colleagues to provide a consultant-led service with thehighest standard of care.o Work with the multi-professional team to develop care pathwaysand clinical guidelines.o Develop and maintain good working practices with wards, outpatients and the Obstetrics & Gynaecology Departmento Collaborate and promote close working links with colleagues,other departments and primary care.o Offer educational, clinical support and leadership to juniormedical colleagues, nursing colleagues and other members ofthe multi-disciplinary.o Ensure appropriate information is made available to staff tomeasure clinical performance and enable meaningfulbenchmarks to be established and evaluated within your area ofresponsibility.o Ensure there is a robust process for reviewing the quality ofservices provided, explaining the causes of success and failureand ensure the highest standards are maintained.

Qualifications Essential
oFull GMC Registration oMRCOG or equivalent oTraining & experience equivalent to that required for UK CCT oEntry onto the Specialist Register in Obstetrics and Gynaecology or within 6 months of CCT date at interview
Experience Essential
Competent surgeon (ATSM/SITM urogynae and vaginal surgergy) Competent obstetrician (ATSM/STIM in labour ward/pregnancy care) Experience demonstrating potential ability to cope with the demands of a DGH based consultant post Evidence of the clinical skills required to fulfil the specialty
Desirable
Experience in laparoscopic uro-gynaecology
Clinical governance/Audit Management Essential
Evidence of general management training and skills appropriate for the post
