About this role
Job summary As a Counsellor or Therapist, you will work alongside Counselling, Support teams and Clinical Services in providing support and appropriate advice to patients and their families dealing with the impact of their life-limiting or incurable illness. You will be the first point of contact for those referred to our services and will take a proactive approach to processing and managing referrals, whilst delivering and developing support group.
Main duties of the job You will need experience of providing care in a health or social setting as well as holding a professional qualification such as BACP, HCPC or UKCP. You will need to have excellent verbal and written communication skill, be able to support and hold group meeting as well as one to one meeting and have hands on knowledge of working with evaluations, audits and outcome. You should be able to demonstrate the ability to be compassionate and sensitive towards our service users, your colleagues and volunteers.
